I'm sure age has a lot to do with this in general. But no matter what your age, flashing money around is downright stupid, ESPECIALLY on the street. How would your parents feel if your car was impounded for 60 days? and you were hit with a misdemeanor at your age and your license and insurance were scarred for quite some time? You don't even have any major mods to your car. Darn, how come this sheet never happens to me??? lol

Misdemeanor? In Florida street racing is now a FELONY offense. Go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. We were having a HUGE street racing problem after The Fast and the Furious movie came out, (Thank you RICERS!) and Tampa, in particular, had to crack down on it. I've been challanged to several street races since I got my 'stang, and I've turned down every one. It's not worth it.

Do your parents know you're offering to race for that thousand bucks? Or do you think that, even if you did pay for some of thae car, they would be proud parents if you offered to take that thou and repay them with it? Instead of offering it up for an illegal street race?

1) Grow up...racing is done on a track.

2) Learn a bit of responsibility...good that you have a job...bad that you can't think your way out of a dumb situation.

Go to the track to settle this type of thing. No money. Just tell him that if he wants to run you, show up and if not call him a ***, chuckle, and walk away. Go to the track anyway, make some passes, now you have timeslips you can brag about. Tell him "When you can hit these kind of numbers then talk to me, other than that, its not worth the fuel".

It is always the guys with the so called "fast" cars that talk crap but will never run you and have a million to one excuses.
