Step 1:
Tell the wife to get off her a$$ and get out there and do it and earn her keep
Step 2:
Duck and cover (the ********* that is)...
Step 3:
I hope you have a comfortable couch...

HAHAHAHAHAHA..........^^^^^^^^^ That's a good plan....maybe I'll try that one out but I don't have a wife yet only a G/F. But I tell her to wash my car all time, and she always threatens to leave, so I bet telling her to clean under my hood would break the camels back lol

Personally I wouldn't spray water under the hood with all the electronics. I have pressure washed older car's engines without any problem, but would not try on my mustang. There is just too much electronics that could short or be ruined. Compressed air would be a better option if you have a compressor. I try to clean my engine compartment weekly with amorall to keep it looking fairly clean. That way, there isn't several months of dirt on the engine. It can be very time consuming though.[:@]

I would never use water under the hood. I like the idea of compressed air in a can and a rag.
I had my 2005 Mustang for 1 year this month. I only opened the hood once to add windshield wiper fluid. I'm going on a road trip to Nashville, TN from PA in July. So I am going to clean it before I leave.

Id say to use an air compresser for the majority of the dust, then use areally wet rag to wipe things down, then use detail spray for the paint and Stoners Trim shine for the plastic...well thats what i do?

What, you mean these cars don't have distributors? I was so looking forward to having to gap my points at the next oil change...[sm=goodidea.gif]

I clean my engine with Windex!
Actually - - I just keep it wiped down... I'll spray it clean with a light power washer if it were to get really nasty on a road trip. Nothing special, just detergent and water.
