I'm going to get one.

Anyone bought one of these for their car? You can buy one straight from ford but it has a hefty $430 price tag. Looking at this product right now:

If anyone has one let me know what you think of the quality. Also, I'll probably get it installed by the ford dealer so let me know if it looks cheap or if it will look like it came with the car. If anyone has any better products in mind I'd appreciate any info.

Do a search for Gentex on Ebay. I bought 2 mirrors, autodimming with homelink for less than the cost of 1 from the dealer. I can't wait to install them in both of my fords. The company has been great so far, and claim a 2-3 wire install. sounds easy enough.

I have the Auto/Temp/Compass/HomeLink mirror in mine.... Dealer installed and was negotiated in the delivered price.

tomwynne... .... ... I had the same problem. The dealership installed the temp sensor too close to the radiator - actually attached it TO the radiator. I moved the sensor out onto the main body of the grill pointing out of one of the honeycombs and now it reads very accurate.

I love how it looks. It appears as if it were made to be there. Is a little larger then the factor one and works GREAT when those damn tractor trailers close on you at night with their high bright headlights.

I believe that you can get name brand ones without the compass and temp for under 125 bucks form most aftermarket companies like JC whitney.

They are nice, but I havent had too much of a glare problem on the mustang for some reason. I have yet to even had to flip the day night switch. I think it is because the back of the car is so high compared to most cars.
