Default Huge 2007 GT post.

This includes a bunch of questions that I have about modifications for my new 07 GT that is on order. I plan to have an Axle-back Exhaust system (SLP probably), Hurst shortshifter, and a new grill (centered lights) waiting for it when it arrives in 2-3 months (I’m hoping 2) I thought instead of a bunch of little posts why not make one big one? I just have some questions on to what some of the suspension and engine parts do and if they are worth it. If you have/know about one of these items feel free to leave your comment. Looking forward to some of your replies, thanks in advance.

Bodywork:
How much for re-clearcoating of the car included getting rid of the old clearcoat, or can they just spray over the old crap?
Can you Remove rear GT fake gas cap or does it need to have holes filled and painted?
If i had all this done^^ at one time should i have them install a CDC ducktail at the same time so all the paint matches?

Style:
Who makes the Center light kit with the polished speed grill?
Does anyone make an aerodynamic front bumper that helps you cut through the air at highspeed or create downforce? Maybe the dream car factory ones?

Suspension….
Subframe connector?
Suspension brace?
Lower trailing arms?
Upper 3rd link kit?
SS brake lines?
Rear diff cover?
Anti-rollbar kits worth it?
Panhard bar?
Steeda 2005 Mustang HD Swaybar Chassis Link Kit?
K-member brace w/Torque limiters?

Engine…
Performance valve springs?
Manley valves?
Are engine mounts worth it?
Airaid intake? Any good? Anyone actually have to one to comment on?
Aluminum flywheel?
What’s the loudest, non-loudmouth, exhaust that I should use with the Catless H-pipe? Or would the LM’s+Catless H-pipe with some resonators sound good?

Bodywork:
How much for re-clearcoating of the car included getting rid of the old clearcoat, or can they just spray over the old crap? Why would you want to? It can be wet sanded and re-cleared though.
Can you Remove rear GT fake gas cap or does it need to have holes filled and painted? It has locating holes behind it.
If i had all this done^^ at one time should i have them install a CDC ducktail at the same time so all the paint matches? Might as well have it all done at once, it will probably save you a few bucks.

Suspension….
Subframe connector? Not needed unless you are trying to make HUGE power, these cars are very stiff from the factory.
Suspension brace? If you are talking about the Panhard Bar brace, I replaced mine the factory one is just very weak looking.
Lower trailing arms? These will help control wheel hop.
Upper 3rd link kit? Not as necessary as the lowers but I would do it at the same time, it will help prevent deflection in the suspension.
SS brake lines? These are a good upgrade if you do a lot of open track or autocrossing.
Rear diff cover? Make sure you get the low profile cover from LPW, so you don't need to buy the panhard bar relocation bracket. This is a good inexpensive mod to strengthen the rearend.
Anti-rollbar kits worth it? If you like to push your car hard through the turns then they are worth it.
Panhard bar? Adjustable panhard bar is necessary if you want to lower the car.
K-member brace w/Torque limiters? These are great the torque limiters eliminate all of the bind when shifting to 3rd at WOT.

Engine…
Performance valve springs? Not necessary unless you are replacing your cams or you are looking to rev your stock motor to the moon.
Manley valves? This is a waste unless you are going to go ahead with P&P heads.
Are engine mounts worth it? Not needed if you do the torque limiters
Aluminum flywheel? A nice inexpensive mod to help the motor rev quicker and allow a little extra power to find its way to the tires.

I'm going to have it re-cleared because of the new EPA-affected paint. My mom's new 06 F-350 has horrible clear-coat and we will probably have them both done. Going with the clear coat the ferraris use, has great shine and doesn't chip as easily.

How high revving is revving to the moon? LOL Like above 6500?

About the SS brake lines, when you say good for the track, do they give you better pedal feel in a street car?

Over 7000 RPMs, yes the SS brake lines will give better pedal feel all the time.

Thanks a lot for all your help. Anyone else have any information about the exhaust setup?
