Factory GPS Question
I'm looking to replace my (skipper)Shaker 500.A friend of mine installed a real nice Kenwwod with GPS touchscreen etc. However it was almost 2500.00.The new Ford Explorers have a factory GPS touchscreen in the Eddie Baurer's as an option. If you opt not to get the GPS you end up with a stereo system that looks just like the Shaker's same dimmensions and all.I was wondering if I Could replace my Shaker with the factory GPS stereo? I work for Ford and get a 10% discount on Ford factory parts. If this is an option I might be able to do this with out spending a whole lot of money.Has anyone out there looked into this? Thanks in advance.

RE: Factory GPS Question
Logic says yes.... as the explorer has the same exact stereo as the mustang. with the exception of adding the GPS antenna, it should be a plug and go installation.
I would chat with some guys at a reputable dealership.
