I have the webelectric. I got those because they are the only brand I found that will allow you to disable the brake light sequence. You basicly run two wires into the drivers side kick panel to do so. He included the wires and parts at no charge.
But if you dont want to disable it, it really is a 30 minute plug and play install with no cutting or splicing at all.
I am still up in the air about whether the brake light sequence is safer or worse for saftey.
They are a little fast compared to the 65 t-bird lamps. Without slowing the flasher down and recalibrating the sequential lamps, slowing them is impossible as I asked before I bought mine.
The lamps have to finish their sequence within the normal flasher speed, and that is not changable yet or ever on the 05+.
Dad used to own a 65 t-bird many years ago, I have a video of the sequencing in an original ford commercial. It is a bit slower. But is still 3 lamps.

Does anybody know if it's possible to change the rate of the flasher? Is it just a relay? If so, couldn't the relay be swapped out for a slower pattern?

It is a 30 refund/core charge for the webelectric. I went with the Webelctric becasue they offer a lifetime warranty. I could not find what the warranty was on the CDC ones. I also kept my stock harness in case a problems arises i can simply swap them back in.
Worth the 30 to me.

I went with the Webelectris harness as well. I liked the lifetime warrenty, and I kept my stock harness in case I need to swap it out. Webelectric's customer service was FANTASTIC, truly a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have the Webelectronics. At the time they were the only ones I found with Plug n Play. I kept me old ones, just in case. I ordered them for an '06 (in april '06) but when they came they had '05 on them but they work great. So I imagine they are both the same. They seem to be a little fast but maybe that has to do with Fords system. I like the way they sequence once when you brake and sequence all the time when the emergency flashers are on. Were pretty easy to install but be careful removing the floor mat clips.

The CDC ones are a piece of cake to install and look great. I get a lot of compliments on them. They function fast enough to be safe and have a nice effect.
