Transponder keys have been around for years, didn't you wonder why the new keys are so much bigger than the old keys? It's really brilliant technology, it's rendered it extremely difficult to steal a car. You can no longer just pop the ignition out, stick a screwdriver in and drive away. The car ignition will only activate if it senses the proper electronic code from the key. Cool stuff!
