I'm using the same one as darkfact, the 14" Shorty from MustangTuning. I also think that is the perfect length and any shorter just looks plain weird. The signal on it is still perfect and I had no sacrifice changing it yet so only good words coming from me. My dad actually picked up a channel a few hours a way that he can't get on his antenna so maybe it's even better!

+1 on the 14' antenna.

My first antenna was a small 8' one, and I agree with the previous posters. It never really looked right. When I accidentally broke it putting my car cover on, I wasn't that upset because it gave me an excuse to buy the 14'.

The install is very simple. Right above the black plastic, take a pair of plyers and unscrew the factory flagpole antenna. Use some force, as it might need to be "broken loose". Screw the aftermarket antenna in and you're done! Simplest mod you will ever do. =)

I got the 8" which cost more then 14" but, I'm making up for it with the gas milage increase! Less drag!

I used a dremmel, and shortened the stock one. Haven't noticed any adverse affects.

As long as you don't go too short. I had a 9" on my last car, and the reception wasn't as good as stock. Stay closer to the 12" or 14", 15" and it will be as good, if not better, than stock. These are thicker than stock, so they have more surface area...
