Just put in a Hurst Comp. Shifter( which I think is ****) with the help of member Legend Lime. On the bottom of the Hurst shifiter where it connects to the trans linkage my instructions say to point the longer side toward the driver side. My good friend Legend Lime who installed the same shifer, same part #...... 4 days previous, his instructions say to point the longer side toward the passenger side.

Would like to know if anyone who installed this shifter what their instructions say? And if you installed with the longer side toward the driver side, do you have any squeaking when you move the shifter from left to right when in netural, I do.

My instructions say point the bolt to the drivers side, and we just installed it this past saturday. On the bottom of the instructions, is it dated 12/05? If so, they are the right directions. If they are dated something else, or if Legend Lime's are dated the 12/05. If neither are, i can send you a copy of mine.
