With accessory delay activated, the radio and power windows will continue to work for ten minutes after the key is turned off. Unfortunately, this deactivates the key fob from lowering the windows when you return to a hot car. I'd rather have the auto rolldown feature than the accessory delay feature, but can't figure out how to switch them.

Really helpful comment. I've read the manual four times. It mentions accessory delay on pages 27 and 44, but never tells how to turn it on and off.

Curty when was your car built? I believe Ford made a running change and removed the "rolling down windows with key fob" sometime around 4/05. (I could be wrong on the date but I think it's close) 06's don't have that option, or so I've read. 05SDI

Try a sun shade or open the windows before you close the door. Never even thought about rolling windows down remotely. If you can't take the heat stay out of the Mustang.

Took delivery 5/26/2005 straight from the factory. I spoke to my Ford dealer today and he said it might require a software change. Bring it in and he would look at it. He thinks it is not an owner-changeable item.
