Define "pop" and "lift up". It isn't gonna raise all the way up on its own, if that's what you're thinking. There was an issue about not releasing at all. ...but I don't know what is really being asked here. ...maybe it's just me... never mind.

My trunk unlocks when I press the button on the remote but it doesn't lift up on its own. I wouldn't have it any other way.

My 06 has never lifted up from pressing the remote.

Mine works fine which is to say it pops open but does NOT open all the way. You wouldn't want that as to let it just swing open on its own would soon ruin the hinges

My '05 "popped" pretty good until I installed the Roush spoiler, the it "clicked" and barely moved... for me, it was all in the weight of the trunk lid. I'll have to see how the '07 does.
