Saleen Shift Block Adapter

Saleen Shift Block Adapter
Some time back, several months, there was a thread in which one of the members had taken photos, and made some notes on the photo, regarding the correct installation of the Saleen shift adapter. The Saleen instructions, were obviously wrong....
I have been searching for that thread and photo, to no avail. Can anyone link me to that thread please?
Thanks,
Mike

I don't remember who posted it but I did save it for reference when I installed mine. I think this is the pic you're looking for.
The installation is a piece of cake.

05HOTROD,
Your photo will help out very much. I installed the block on Friday, but I'm going back under today for verification sake. I remember the original thread you posted this in, but struggled big time to find it via search...(Thanks Mike65!!) The shift block certainly shortens the throw nicely, I just want to verify today, as it is very notchy and stiff....expected from what I hear...
I could not believe how poor the Saleen instructions are....I even went to their website yesterday, looked at the PDF they have on line with the instructions, and the new ones totally contradict the old ones that came with the shift block. The original instructions actually show the shift linkage entering the block from the passenger side, as opposed to the drivers side....That, plus the "L" shape facing the wrong side.....Other than that, the instructions were great.....[:@][:@]
Thanks again for the help guys, and I also hope the instructions for the S/C are far superior to this simple part....

RE: Saleen Shift Block Adapter
I installed the Saleen shifter block and a kit with harder urethane bushings from Steeda for mounting the shifter at the same time. After everything got broken in, the difference in shifting is amazing. The block shortens up the shift pattern and the bushings make it feel more solid-takes out a lot of the stock mushy feel. I have noticed no downside to this mod. The shifter really feels great. The whole deal cost me like $75 and an hour or so install time.
