If you look my reply/response was to skin5050 regarding his GT emblem and the pony emblem. The pony with the 281 is a different story that I was not thinking about or responding to. You'll see many emblem treatments but GT emblem and the pony both, IMO is poor overdone design and if Ford did it we all would have been screaming. If you really like a lot of badges get a Roush or Saleen.

thanks for the info, I would have never thought about using string. Not to bother you but do you have a straight on side shot of the emblem on the car. I think I'm going to do this. Thanks again

Yeah, maybe both emblems are a little too much. I saw this pic (attached) and thought it looked good b/c my car is black too, but didn't realize the GT emblem was no longer there. Thanks all.
That's my car :-)

Yes, I removed the GT emblem and put the V6 Pony emblem in it's spot. The holes match up perfectly. I then had a set of custom 281s made to put below it for an end result of:

Sweet car! I'm diggin' the stripe and the emblem and the wheels and.....I WANT YOUR WINDOW LOUVERS!! Those same exact ones. What model are they, where'd you get 'em, how much.....etc.??

I bought the louvers from an online store which in turn had them shipped directly from the manufacturer. So to cut out the middle man, here's the link to the manufacturer's site:

MRT-Direct

I had a local shop prep and paint them. I paid too much from what I understand, and they didn't do the best of jobs. So I figure when I finally decide to have the car wet sanded down and re-clearcoated, I'll have them re-painted.

Thanks,
-danny

I thought the GT was a 302 not a 281?

Nope, the specs in my manual say 281. I was surprised too!
