Default Pony Emblem - Pic Included

I'd like to put these 2 emblems on my 2006 GT (in the front of the car right under the GT emblem) It's the same spot they are on the V6 w/ the pony package I think. It looks like there are pins with adhesive backing. Can the pins be cut off and just glued on w/ the adhesive? These would be going directly on the paint of the car so I wouldn't want to mess anything up. Has anyone put these on before? Thanks!

The pins are there because they go in the same locating holes as your GT emblem. You can cut them off and just use the double sided tape that is already on them. IMO it will be too much with both the pony emblems and the GT emblems.

You want to put them on "with" the GT emblem? Not quite sure I am digging that idea, but to each their own I guess.

Anyway, to answer your question, yes. You can cut the pins off. The Ford pony emblems are just cheap plastic. Same as the GT emblem.

I put metal emblems off of a '68 on mine in place of the GT emblems.

Yeah, maybe both emblems are a little too much. I saw this pic (attached) and thought it looked good b/c my car is black too, but didn't realize the GT emblem was no longer there. Thanks all.

That's my car :-)

Yes, I removed the GT emblem and put the V6 Pony emblem in it's spot. The holes match up perfectly. I then had a set of custom 281s made to put below it for an end result of:

What's up with that grille? It looks like the pony package sixxer grille but the driving lights are obviously GT lights.

It's neat. Did you do that yourself or does someone sell it?

Grille Corral
Fog Light Bezel
Fender Ponies

Hope this helps in your purchases.

As for the 281 under the Pony Emblem, I got this from a guy in Canada at: 281 emblem

I had the 281 from http://www.autobadges.com but realized I wanted something more 1 off. When I swapped out the 281s when the new ones arrived, it didn't look right with just the pony there by itself. To each his own I guess.
