Are the Jet brand performance chips safe? I have a stock 05 and want to increase my mileage. Has anyone encountered any problems?

Ok. Thanks for no help on that. Let me phrase it so that you can understand. I want to spend money on a chip for "performance" since my stock car is dud from 0-70. Is the Jet chip a good idea?

That one looks to be half the price of the other tuners. I tried looking on JET's web site and it looks like a one shot tune. Were as the other tuners have other custom tunes and can be upgraded with other tunes. Like if an super charger is install or manifold, etc.

I too would like a tuner but coming up with the $400 bucks is hard. And beware a used tuner might be locked to someones else car.

The predator looks like it would give me more tuning options. I'm not sure if it's something I would actually use. I think this will be the only mod I do so for the money I may plug and play with this Jet chip. They claim some fuel economy, I would guess if you can't keep the foot out of it. It may be hard to do with the added HP.

 

SCT is wicked. My friend just has his 06 Dyno tuned using the SCT and had gains of 14rwhp and 17ftlbs. 290rwhp and 311tq. Pretty impressive for nothing more than a Tune and a CAI! ran a 13.45@103 out of the box, CUrious to see how it runs after the cai and tune.
