Default Bumpers needed...!

Well unfortunately my bumper had its first run in this morning. While I was sleeping beautifully in the luxury of my bed and goose-down filled comforter, I was hastily awakened by my dad, and his girlfriend who was crying, running into my room (I was naked in my comforter mind you). I didnt move... at all.. and as they sat there babbling on into oblivion I tried to ignore them and go back to sleep. After about 3 minutes of them talking amongst themselves and trying to wake me up I lifted my head and this is what I heard.

DGF = Dads girlfriend
DAD= Dad
ME= Me

DAD: "Aaron wake up!"
DGF: "Aaron.. please dont be mad at me"
ME: "Huh?"
DGF: "I accidentally backed into your bumper"
ME: *puts head back into pillow*
DGF: "Im really sorry babe, I just wanted you to hear it from me and see it before I left, come outside real quick and take a look"
ME: "ok..."
DGF: "Im really very sorry and Ill pay for it to be fixed!"
ME: "ok..."

So we walk outside and it turns out she was backing up in my driveway and turned the wheel when she wasnt supposed to and backed her right rear fender for like 18 inches across my front bumper. Scratches are very bad, all of them are all the way down to the plastic and the area around them are all rough, although the bumper seems to have maintained its shape. Her cars rear fender is dented about the size of a baseball with some minor paint damage.

Finally the point of this

.. Since we are thinking that the damage is too bad they are opting to buy a new bumper...
What I would like to know is how much is a new OEM bumper for a GT and then a rough estimate of paint.

OR

Any other front fascia suggestions... the bumpers getting replaced anyways so I may as well get something I want rather than the stock one right? [8D]
Feel free to post any and all front fascias that you guys like or have seen around! Thanks!

As far as stock goes there is a guy who sells on ebay front and rear bumpers stock that are painted. He gets the ones they pull off to make the Saleens. Look for bumpers and spoilers. He has good service and it's ready to go. Good quick fix for now.

that sucks....yeah ebay is your best option...i got one painted from the guy W1ldcat was talking about....they use ppg products so all you have to do is tell them what car you have and the paint code....really easy...good painters too.

Bl1nkage,
Man, what a screwed way to start the weekend.....might try this. I don't know how competive the price is, but they are already painted.....I'm thinking of getting a spoiler in black from them, as opposed to painting mine.....

Good luck man,

Also, Saleen has them. I bought my rear bumper off ebay for $165. The guy said he was sending the mufflers too! I told him NO, I already have a GT and didn't need the mufs, he sent a set of black mats instead. I use them for winter time!! The swap out is easy as well. Basic tools and the license plate light was included as well. Just plug-in and mount. Took about 20 minutes to replace.

You do not need a new bumper and your's does not need to be removed to be painted. You are over reacting man,relax, take a few deep breaths; gouges, scrapes, deep scratches (no structural damage) is no reason to replace the bumper. Get 3 estimates; no big deal here.

(You could pull it, add the CDC Agressive on it and then the paint repair. ...perfect opportunity) Oh, get those mirrors done will ya (lol)

No, I just didnt mention the part about where the bumper is lowered and doesnt sit flat anymore. Theres a gap of about 1/2 inch between the bottom of the grill and the top of the bumper.. We pushed it back up but it falls right back down..
