Default hoods for sale?

Ive been to alot of sites lookin for hoods cuz my dad obliterated a deer as well as my mustang gt stock hood. Instead of geting the same hood i was looking to get another one. I dont want the shaker system, wether or not it performs well, it looks like sh*t cuz its so small. I was thinking of some type of cervinis or the steeda 2" cowl. Can someone help me find hoods that are worth getting? sites would be greatly appreciated.
thnx.

I kno many people have them posted in this site, but for some reason search doesnt work and going through over a dozen forum topics is just a waste.
I have a 2005 mustang gt

Good Post! I too am looking for an aftermarket hood, preferably the california one (the one with the fuctional air ram kit). I heard some horor stories on these not fitting well, or they are completely over priced. Appreciate all the help

I like the California Dream hood, but I recently heard they don't fit well too. So I was looking real close at the pic on the mfg site and noticed that the front of the hood doesn't line up with the fenders - almost like it's a bit too short. What do you think?

Would like to see more pics of other cars that have that hood. Particulary, the back edge.

well at the end it fits nicely, but from the few people who have tried it, they have said that it took a lot of work to get it to fit properly after they bought it

I bought the California Dream hood (fiberglass) at a great price, but totally under estimated the rework req'd to fit like OEM. Here's what it looked like out of the box. You can't see from the pic but there's 3/8 gap on one side and rubbing the fender on the other. Lift was almost 1/2 all the way around. The lip was also misaligned and needed build up to be flush. The body shop had it for 2 weeks-- Cost $1500.00!!

Yep. Fully functional...and bad-*** looking with blacked out intake screens! I pick it up on Wednesday. Will post pics then. Let me know if you want details on where to buy the hood (under $500 w/ shipping).

I'm looking forward to seeing that hood finished mustangie, I actually had that hood in mind when I was planning on swapping my stock hood out.

Can't wait to see the finished results, I saw one at the track I go to and it looked great awesome on Tungsten Grey.
