Default Header dilema.........

So here's my problem, I've really want to go with the Hooker L/T's for my 05' GT but still want to pass emissions when the time comes without having to change anything. I orginally was looking at getting the Bassani catted x-pipe but after looking at it for while, it doesn't look like the two will fit up together. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same boat even though I don't have emissions down here in Florida. I was planning on having my X-Pipe cut shorter so I could slip in some highflow cats, but i'm not sure how good that will turn out. So i'm holding out for now and may decide to go without cats.

As others have said, just buy a different brand of header that has cats.

I have the Dynatech kit on my car, with the catted X-pipe. No thrown codes, and it will pass a smog test.

So I made a few calls today and kinda solved my problem. JBA does make a h-pipe with cats that bolts right up to the l/t headers. Now it's not an X-pipe which would cause me to lose a little power but give me more of a rumble that i wanted. NOTHSA, i'm right with you with the x-pipe idea. I actually thought about going ahead and doing the exact same thing you thought of but figured it might be better just get the parts that bolt right together. So with those two ideas said, what do the rest of you guys think: Buy the h-pipe w/ cats that bolt right up to the l/t's or get an x-pipe and some cats and let the professionals cut away and make it work?
