Default Now or never, DCF hood

I just revisited the DCF website and found that they are on the verge of increasing the price on their 500GT hood........as if it wasn't expensive enough already. But for those of you who are on the fence about this hood, I give you notice.................you have until August 4th to purchase the hood (either functional or nonfunctional) before the price hike. And trust me, you don't wanna get caught paying the increased price[:@]

Hood info:
http://www.dcfstore.com/cart/pc/view...idproduct=1160

I also asked one of their reps about some specifics for the functional hood. Check it out:
http://www.thedreamcarfactory.com/dc...topic.php?t=16

Hope this helps someone out there. [Goes off to ponder the hood purchase one more time]

That is just absurd, no fiberglass hood is worth $1800. I hope they are stuck with several and have to lower the price again. I like that hood but not as well as I would like a set of Bogarts.

I'm kinda with ya on that one. I was planning on setting aside my exterior mods until early next year to get my performance goals in line now.......and was gonna save up for the DCF hood. But now I either have to move my plans forward, or forget about this hood all together. 'Cuz I'm not paying 1800 bones for a hood.[:'(]

Holy s*it Batman! That's ridiculous. I was teetering between the DCF and the Cali hood, but for $1000 difference looks like I'll be going with the Cali. The DCF is nice, but I think they are trying to rob us here.

It's just a matter of time before it gets knocked off and made in China, then sold on Ebay for half the cost; I can't wait!

Well, all I know is that if I don't/can't pull the trigger on the DCF hood before the price jacks up...........the Cervini M1 hood kit it shall be.

Sorry.. I really like the look of the DCF hood because its similiar to the Cali dream hood. Reason I was going with the DCF was because the Cali has fitment issues apparently.. but hell.. I can have someone customize the hood to make it fit perfectly for a hell of alot less than the $1200 more the DCF costs.. I was also VERY dissapointed with the functional DCF.. I was under the impression that the functional version would be FULLY functional.. not simply a 6" induction on each side. I mean if youre going to look like you have two 14" holes in your hood then I think they should really be two 14" holes.. not two 6" poser holes..

All you guys have until August 4th to get it for 900 bucks, which is a SANE price for a hood. Raising the price by double isn't going to make any friends...

They have a "Shelby Style Hood" as well (2nd or 3rd from top, all blue Stang) but after looking closely, I see that it's different. The scoops or whatever, are in a slightly different location.

Good stuff tho, worth a look I think.

I'm kinda partial to one or two of them, still considering. I like the red and white car's hood (3D Carbon model) and the Shelby style and the Cali D version they have as well.

That is a beautiful 3Dcarbon hood. And the carbon fiber would look great on a black car.
