Outside Air Temp Gauge?

RE: Outside Air Temp Gauge?
I'm reading this thread with a slight chuckle, seeing as, up until buying the GT in March, I drove a 70 Chevelle for 36 years! Muscle cars were ALWAYS spartan when it came to "creature comforts". The primary reason for buying one was to go fast. Everything else was secondary. Heck, driving the GT now, I feel as though I'm driving a luxury car!

Especially when you launch your mustang over that ramp at 130mph going airborn in it across the Grand Canyon... you really don't want to come in on the other side a little low!

Its like a dumb@ss gauge - if you have to ask...
That, perhaps is an argument for replacing the shaker head with a car-puter with built in GPS...
If someone could bundle that setup with built-in programmable graphical display of the info that the hand-held tuners supply (for less than $1B), I'd be all over it (touchscreen of course...). That would be a great way to deal with boost, and various temps in the car that don't need to be a big ugly gauge(s) on your hood/dash/forehead etc...

RE: Outside Air Temp Gauge?
I have auto-mirror dimmer, outside Temp and Compass on my Dodge Intrpid and will miss them on my 2007 Mustang GT (ordered), but I was not going to pay $575 for these items in the comfort group. I searched on line and found what I want at www.autogeek.net. They have a number of units at reasonable prices. They even have one with Altimeter, Atomic Clock, Barometer, Weather Outlook, Date, and Compass for $115.00. I am ordering the PNI V2020 model with Compass and Temperature for $95.00. You can hard-wire them or use battery power.
Take a look at www.autogeek.net under auto accessories.

Fourth Horseman, I'm trying to stay on the ground as much as possible.
And you sure won't have any problem staying on the ground with that bigggg-motha Merc. That looks hot by the way.
