Default Offset 35 or 40?

I'm thinking about getting these rims, but they show an offset of 40, all the others i've been looking at show 35. Does 40 mean they will stick out a little further than the stock rims?

I think factory is 45mm so the 40 would stick out approx 3/16 " past factory and 35 would be a tad over 3/8" past factory

Factory is 45 and you are staying with 8" wide so they will stick out 1/2 of the 5mm difference or 1/10" (which is about zero; you won't see a difference)
