Yes I would and I did. But when the dealer informed me I would have to wait longer for my '07 GT because of a shortage of parts I said take it off the order. I then ordered a painted Roush hood scoop from a Ford/Roush dealer on eBay. Then the dealer calls and says I'll probably get my hood scoop and the rest of the GT Appearence Package after all. Now I have 2 black hood scoops. I actually prefer the Roush but will be happy with Fords scoop.

i am starting to think u guys are right for a no go, there is also no curve to the hood leading up to the scoop so it is kind of stranded...more opinions, thanks

It is an after thought as all hood scoops are. They are added to make room for mods to the engine that will not fit under the hood otherwise. I like hood scoops!!

I like it.
Makes the car look different than the other 20 I will see today. And I think it makes it look more agressive.

I have an 06 GT and the first time I took her on a road trip a rock from an 18 wheeler landed on my hood and scratched the hell out of it. Not only did it scratch it, it dinged it pretty bad too. Now I am left w/ a noticeable whitemark where the rock hit and my car is black. So every time I wash her, I see that awful white scratch/ ding. So I might consider putting a hood scoop on my car b/c it would cover up that scratch. I don't think touch up paint would do the job. IMHO, it looks better w/ out the scoop!

I'm torn on that one. Part of me wants something a little different and thinks it would be a good start, But, I think I'd rather go aftermarket and get something that the factory doesn't offer.

I would order an '07 with the hood scoop...

...and I already did!

If i ordered mine it would have been with the hoodscoop, but i purchased one off the lot and got lucky it had the GT Upgrade package. I think the hoodscoop makes it look better.

I ordered mine with it. IMO it looks good. Whats nice about it, the hood sits flush all the way around and no gaps are present. Ive seen many after market scoops with a corner that has a gap. Also the factory scoop is bolted down. The front of it also matches hood screen perfect.
