well fwiw, i got it installed and so far it's lived up to everything it's supposed to do. this is the 1st aftermarket stereo i've ever bought so i don't really have anything to compare to but i'm pretty stoked about it. this is in my wife's truck (03 dodge Ram) so i won't get to mess with it too much.

i did give it a pretty good work-out on the way back home from the shop though. i popped in about 3.5Gbs worth of MP3's on a data DVD and i had my USB jump drive loaded w/ more MP3's. it read id3 tags no problem, and also had no problem with at least 1 level of folder structure. advancing through song and folders was very fast. once i got the eq settings the way i liked it, i was amazed at the sound quality through the craptory speaker. prolly going to replace those. i have yet to mess with the DVD stuff...still looking for some cheap 7-10" lcd monitors to hook up to.

in the end, this unit packs a lot of bang for it's price tag. they can be found for as little as $260 price tag all the way up to about $350 if you'd rather. i got mine from beachaudio.com for $258 shipped (out of stock there now)
