Just above the oil filter. Driver's side, above the pan rail. The stock oil sender is simply a switch that closes the contacts in the presence of oil pressure above a certain point. It is not a proper pressure transducer. As a result the stock oil gauge does NOT indicate actual oil pressure. It only shows a reading of the pressure is above approx. 10 psi and reading is exactly the same regardless of the actual pressure. Basically it is an "idiot guage" as opposed to an "idiot light". If you want a real gauge the reads actual pressure you will need to go aftermarket.

Ok, where is a good place to install the oil/temp/pressure sending unit?

I removed the stock oil sender and intalled a brass T-fitting, then installed the stock oil sender in one side of the T and the aftermarket sender in the other side. Done.

The only way to get an accurate reading for oil temperature is to remove the pan and have a bung welded into it someplace below the oil level for your oil temp sender. On one of my other vehicles I tried other methods but this was the only way to get a reliable oil temp reading.

I kinda figured that was the case, a friend of mine is using a sandwich adapter between the filter

The sandwich adaptor would also work. Any place where the oil circulates past the sender will get you an accurate reading. I had the engine apart so it wasn't much trouble to get the bung welded into the pan for me.
