Stock 05-06s, what are your shift points for daily driving
I'm wondering what revs at what gears do you guys in stock 05s/06s shift at.
Me I try to give it around 2500 - 3000 rpm, 3500 to 4000 if I'm merging up in freeway traffic 3rd to 4th, 4th to 5th.
When cruising on the freeway or cruising in general I always try to keep the revs with in 2000-2500 rpm.
Again, this is for regular every day commutting for gas saving.
I commute to work 30 miles each way (all freeway)

I usually shift before 2k. Sometimes if I can I'll skip a gear. I've been trying to keep the car running below 1400 rpm in the city when I can being that gas is as ridiculous as it is and I don't see it getting any better. So far its been working. My total fuel range has been as high 388 lately but thats with mostly hwy miles.

Personally when I'm just driving around normal, I'd say I usually shift around 3 grand through 4th than shift into 5th whenever I reach what speed I want.
If I'm merging on the highway I'm not looking for fuel efficiency it's WOT for me....
She's my Daily Driver too, but I'm not going to drive my car like a hybrid and maximize fuel economy, I knew what I'd be paying for gas before I bought it and put all the mods into it. I drive it like it was meant to be. I'm not saying that I have tons of money, but gas prices aren't really an issue so therefore I really dont try to drive to save gas.
So I guess my vote don't count lol

Oh your vote counts. I've just been pitching pennies lately were I can plus I try not to beat my baby all the time everyday. Just once or twice, maybe five times a day.[8D]

Well i've only had my '07 for about 2 weeks and 800miles but when driving the in the city i tend to shift between 2500-3000 depending.. When doing up i a steep hill (i live in a hilly area) i tend to hold 2nd untell 3500rpm or else 3rd gets a little bit bogged down..
But if your looking for gas milage dont listen to me.. i've been getting 15-16 in the city..

l shift at 2k RPM mostly.. sometimes 2.5k RPM.. some times if l launch hard, l skip 2nd gear and l shift 1st to 3rd or some times 2nd to 4th or sometimes 3rd to 5th.. low rpm= better gas mileage.

I'd say right about 3000 if I'm driving semi normal and around 4000 when I feel like driving it hard. I have a small commute to work so I drive it pretty hard for the 5 miles or so. It's my release from work. I'm getting 12-14mpg almost all city driving so that should give you an idea of my driving style...

for me, everyday driving, i'll shift around 2,500. there are a few areas on the way home were i'll just punch it...kind of a nice to hear it open up, and scare the amish!
side note, i went to the buick open this weekend in MI, and it was 300 miles round trip give or take and i averaged 25 mpg at 80mph! i was pretty excited about that. this car rocks!!!!

Q: What is the only thing that remains mint?
A: The Fu(k1ng Manual no one reads...
Seriously, your shift points depend on how you drive. And when I decide to drive like a granny in the city, the needle never sees 2k...
