I was wondering the same. I want some Iridiums for mine, but I can't find any. I did find these though.

Currently there are only two plugs manufactured for the S197 3 valve V8 engine. Both are made by Autolite ( reguardless of who puts their name on them ). The HT1 which is what comes stock from the factory, and the HT0 which is a colder plug and what most people running forced induction use.

There is some debate as to the worth of the Granatelli COPs get the claimed results, and even if they did whether or not they are worth the money. I personally know of two people that have returned theirs because they were causing running problems around 3000RPM. Both people used them for race applications. One was a giggle gas car the other was a turbo. There have also been several threads on various boards about the poor fitment of these COPs.

Personally, I don't think I would run out and buy them. But then again, I am not a big JR Granatelli fan.

So go to the dealer and get some from the Parts Dept. ?

BTW, I've heard different things in regards to plug life. How often should we be changing these babies out ? I keep hearing different things from the people I've asked.

That depends on the application. For a normally aspirated vehicle, I would agree. For a force induction vehicle, I disagree.

I got new ones from warrenty because I burned some of mine out due to running to lean....... Forgot I had my car tuned a little lean with my stock air box and put on the intake and didn't richen it back up...... Atleast the guys at my Ford dealership are awesome and gave me the hook up o some warrenty work when they could have very easily voided it.

Our factory plugs are un-gappable.... It is solid all the way across. Take a look at the gap specs on the gt's in the owner's manual. The V6's are pretty much normal plugs, but the GT's are some great Ford invention that is a pain in the *** very expensive to replace lol.
