I have been to a bunch of car shows but I never entered one, but I will be in one on Sept 10 for all fords, all years. I was wondering what kind of catagories there is at car shows that are for all years and models. Will there be a catagory for 05-07 mustangs?

It depends on the show. They will probably have a category for stock and or modified/customized. You might want to call the people running the show ahead of time if you've never been to one of their shows. Sometimes they ask for speical things like a tool kit, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, original jack, owner's manual, window sticker, flares, dealer literature, and some of the more traditional shows ask for water/oil/gas cans that are ususally painted to match your car's motif. At some shows, you will see models of the show car on a rotating stand, others have these toddler sized dolls in a hide and seek position or peering into the car.

The first show I entered, I was unprepared and did not have anything. Somehow I managed to take third place. The next four shows I entered, I did my homework, went prepared and took first place in all of them.

I also prepared a plaque listing all of my mods and had it laminated. I place it on the windshield so the judges can see all of my mods since some of them are very subtle and no one would recognize them unles they were comparing it to another car from the same year.

Usually in an all Ford show, they break it into class by years. I took first in the Mustang class at a show Saturday. The mods are likely to be asked about, so brush up!
