Anyone have a closeup of the bumper/headlight
Hiya Guys,
I was looking at my car yesterday in the body shop, and the headlight/bumper area where they meet has a weird gap that I don't remember ever seeing. Its been two months since i've seen it, but I think I would remember a gap like that. Can anyone please snap me a couple of closeups of where the headlight meets the front bumper.
Thanks,
Fred T

BTW - I found that the front fascia is pretty poorly supported... Without the bolts underneath, it sagged pretty badly where it met the metal... The filler underneath on the bumper bar does not fill it out as much as you might like...
So, if you are having issues there:
a. I would check that the 5.5mm bolts holding the bottom in are tight
b. you can add more styrofoam to the bumper bar (or check that yours is still there!) to support it from underneath...
Hope that helps...

I don't know, have had mine off a few times, no gap. There is no styro in the bumper cover itself. There is about a 4" long slide in alignment tab on the bumper which if not located correctly upon install will leave an unsightly gap.

It doesn't go out to the sides, but I was surprised to see how much pushing up the center of the fascia itself (from the bottom where the 5.5mm screws are) influenced the gap on the side even after the 4 screws into the metal bumper are in and tight.
Attached photo from the front...

P.S. I read your response wrong the first time...

Agreed: "black styro all over the structural bumper" I had only indicated that there is no styro in or on the bumper cover itself. Not sure if thats what you were replying to. Need to see pics of the problem.
