Default Folding down rear seats

What do I have to do to fold down the rear seats? There is no release switch anywhere and nothing in the manual talks about it, yet everytime I see anyone talking abotu a stereo install they have them flipped sown and talk about just flipping them down to access things. 06 GT if it makes a difference.

On the far left and right hand sides, next to the seats, you will see a little black loop. Pull on it.

The straps on my rear seats were shoved towards the inside (trunk space). Like Fred said, there are loops at the (upper) left and right sides that you pull on. If you don't see them you'll have to stick your fingers in the area to fish for them. Hope that helps.

If you have a vert the rear seats do not fold down because of the top well.

Thanks for the info, I'll go look when I get off work, they may just be shoved up there like you said. Was just weird not being able to find it in the manual, then again it could have been hidden under some other topic I wasn't looking for. Thanks again.

Must be a record... 5 posts and no mention of the manual process... as in read the manual.

As I mentioned in my first post, I stated that I had checked the manual first and could not find it in there.

I have a 2006 Mustang, and I have reached another issue with the rear folding seats. It appears I have successfully unthreaded the release straps. They are now hanging down inside of the trunk, and now I cant seem to get the seats to fold down, and I can't get them properly threaded. I've tried fidgeting from inside the trunk, and through the fronts of the seats, but I've had no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
