The only thing I want off the car is the solid grille, but in black instead of shiny. Other then that, my stang is just as fast, probably faster, and cost like 8k less.

We've been seeing some ignorance here about how the Shelby GT is such a ripoff and how just a few mods will give your GT the same power. I think those commentors need to read more about what's included with the new Shelby GT:
http://www.fordpower.net/main/Press-...Shelby-GT.html
Look at the upgrades, which include 18" rims, the CAI (and a new tune), high flow X-pipe exhaust, shorter rear axle gears, lower springs and beefier swaybar. Try buying and installing that and the other options, then add up the cost, including your time, and you'll see that it's still a good deal.
Oh, and check out this quote:
"On July 28, a Shelby GT-H was sold for $250,000 at the EAA AirVenture, with proceeds benefiting the Youth Eagles aviation education program."
Me? I might be placing an order for the white one...

ACTUALLY...I work for Ford, and it was release on Ford Company News that the Shelby GT is supposed to be priced UNDER $27K, which would be cheaper than current GT pricing...Expect pricing of ALL Fords to go down though, as Ford is introducing Straightforward pricing(Lower MSRP's, but no rebates)

MacDaddy,
Does Ford really cares about greedy dealers pushing potential customers to other brands, I've been trying to buy a GT500 cash, willing to go 2-3K above MSRP, but no Texas dealer willing to sell, they all want 10K+ What a joke.
Even if the straight forward pricing no rebates applies, now does that address dealers w/ greedy ADM charges...
Does Ford even really cares, or even try to get a handle on the ADMs that gives them a bad public opinion, no wonder they're in the financial situation they're in...
