Not a big fan of these concepts, if this is in fact the direction they think Ford will take with the Mustang. I think the look of the currents stangs are perfect, only thing needed is more powerful engine to deal with Camaros and Challengers when they come out...

Trust no concept art you see for the possible next gen mustangs. Everything out there right now is done by private artists........not Ford designers. Odds are, if you see a concept drawing by an actual Ford designer.......it will leave quite a bit to the imagination. Just a friendly tip.

each year with the Mustang, company executives said earlier this week during the 2007 model year rollout. Executive Derrick Kuzak told Edmunds Carroll Shelby will work every year on the Mustang. When asked if a 600+ hp model will be offered, he said, "never say never to anything." In an interview with Mr. Shelby himself, Edmunds managed to get further details. Shelby said GM "better not dream" of having more horsepower than the Mustang with the new Camaro. Recent rumors have suggested GM could drop the Corvette Z06 engine into the Camaro. Shelby said it would be "very easy" to push the 'Stang to over 600 horsepower and still offer the company's 50,000-mile warranty. He also confirmed an all-new Mustang is due in 2009.

you all should check out the new motortrend. its saying what i've been the whole time. Boss with, around of a 5.0L (most likeley 5.4L like the shelby's) on a side note they said the 2008s will get a major remodel and i think it said a little less retro. the boss though looks about the same but in a later motortrend article it was shown w/ the same front as the shelby. it's said to be a " naturally asspirated V8 with at least 390hp." it "will have the shelby gt500 suspension" and interior will be less flashy or lighter down graded or somethin like the older boss mustangs. lol and there is supposed to be a super zo6 with 600hp and 2990lbs.

Either way, It's sad to say but I forsee myself in a Challenger later down the road...
