stick is more fun imho

i couldnt have sid it better, there is a reason they are hard to find.

plus you will take about 2 to 5 g's off of the price .....automatics cost more period.

That's absurd the Auto Trans is only 865.00 upgrade. Not sure where your getting that 2-5G's more figure but it isnt even close.

Nothing wrong with the Auto tranny it shifts very nice and the small amount of time you give up to me is not and issue. Besides you wont miss a shift with a auto. And if you get a tune for the car it makes the auto even better. Ultimately you have to get what you want not what we suggest. I personally have had enough manual trannies to last me and prefer and auto.

Nobody on the face of the earth can shift faster then and auto. But my personal preference is a manual, just doesn't feel like a sports car to me with an Auto. I like to rev, drop a gear and go.

I really doubt I could shift a manual any faster than my tune from Evolution shifts my automatic.

My last mustang was a auto but this time when i ordered my 07 it had to be a stick. I have barely driven a stick before but it took me 1 day to get it down. I remember i tried a stick when i got my 00 and it was horrible but the really have done a good job with the new ones. Like others have said if u want a stick wait it out you won't be dissapointed.

flip a coin......both trannies are fine.....the only thing
i didn't like about the auto is the big KA LUNK you get when
putting in reverse......that's why i went with the manual.....

Yeah the new 5spd autos are nice trannies. Im not "trained" professional, but I have been driving since I was about 7. All of the cars I have owned, with the exception of my DD and my truck (which Im converting to a t-5), have been manuals. Maybe I just cant drive an auto for **** . But it always seems to me, that the damn thing tries to get you to the highest gear possible in as little time as it can. Not to mention, that theyre ALWAYS in the wrong gear when coming out of a corner. I hate having to time when I should floor it to get it to downshift. Where as in a manual you can have it in the gear you want/need it to be. And as far as not being able to shift as fast as a auto, I call BS. I raced a few local racers around here, and their replay was always 'not bad for an auto', you should see their faces when I tell em its a stick.

ok maybe i exaggerrated a litttle but its almost a g and a manual is cheaper, period.

more dough for mods plus i never had good luck with auto trannys. i also believthat in the long run its probably cheaper to buy a new clutch than it is a whole new transmission.

I guess it all depends on what kind of driving you do every day.
If your driving is mostly city you may want to purchase a manual.

If you go with the manual be ready to spend some money on a good shifter.

One poster said that know body can shift a manual faster than the auto...........I agree.

I chose an auto because I'm always multi-tasking and dont want to screw around with having to shift all the time. Just one more thing to remember.

If I was younger and really wanted to show off a lot I would probably get a stick.

Hell, its your decision. Get what you want. I got what I wanted.
