I just bought a used Diablo Predator and a C&L Intake. After installing the tune, my car keeps throwing codes. Says A/F too lean. It does this in the 87, 91 and 93 tune. If I leave the PCM stock, no codes. I know I can adjust the A/F to be richer but I'm not sure how much. Right now I moved it to 19 points richer. Any suggestions or comments from anyone.

 

I'm no expert on tuners, but I have read that the software has been changed several times since the new Mustangs came out. Typically when you buy a tuner you have to give them a code found on a tag on your car somewhere so they can ensure they're sending you the right programmer. I'm guessing that since you bought it used you got one that doesn't work with your car.

 

Have your car done buy a pro.. "tuner person" in your area of town...


or call Diablo and see if they can't help you out...

I would still get it done by a "pro tuner" with a dyno tune..

that is what I did .. not one problem..

Go to the Diablo website and download the latest revision to your programmer. Hopefully you have the usb patch cable, if not head to radio shack. Double check the MAF to be certain it is seated properly in the intake. If you happened to have been touching the MAF you may have damaged it. It is delicate. You may have to contact someone to get a C&L specific tune. These guys can probably help. They are a Diablo Chipmaster Tuner Shop.

 

I just purchased a used Diablo Sports predator too. I havent gotten it yet. I have a 2003 Mach 1 --- 5 speed. 8cyl 4.6L motor.
you never mentioned what kind of vehicle you had trouble with. I am also thinking of getting that C&L Inlet pipe and cold air kit.
I have to wonder now am I going to have the same problem? I plan on tuning the car myself for Diablo's web page says i can do it myself. it's very easy. I plan on doing a simple performance tune. My car is stock at the moment.
Please tell me what kind of car you have andis your problem solved yet???
