If I'm not too much mistaken, cops aren't supposed to engage the PIT maneuver at such high speeds. For one, its dangerous.......for the suspect, the cop, and the surrounding public. Secondly, for the reasons you see on the video for yourself..........at higher speeds the car's tireslip when spun allows him to continue manipulating the steering to get the car back on track. At slower speeds, the same maneuver would screech the suspect's car to a near halt.

PITs get done up to 110 mph in training........................

The high speed pursuit is more dangerous to more people............. than a PIT.

As far as the suspect, who cares, he is the one creating a danger by running from the cops.

IIRC, it's a STOLEN Mustang.............

If my Mustang got stolen, I'd rather have the cops total it with the BG in it, than allow the thief to enjoy the car.
