I miss the days of t-tops. I don't understand how they became so unpopular in the past 20 years. I guess most people are too lazy to get out of their car and remove them. This is also evident by the the popularity of drive-thru windows at every restaraunt.

well, i don't know if you guys have seen this yet but i targa topped mine and it looks great. i already fabricated the steel frame for the removable roof, i just need to find someone to stitch me a leather sheath. and mcbudd, whoever said it weakens the frame is lazy and stupid. all you have to do is weld in supports to the frame like i did.

Targa Top may not look bad......T-tops only look good on Camaro and Firebirds IMHO

As i said I had not idea. Thats why I spend alot of time on here, trying to learn a little bit more. Before I got my baby I had always wanted one but spent most of my time on Bikes (93 Shadow 1100CC). I broke my hip so the Bike is gone and my baby is now my main squeeze. That is why I love this site, for the most part the people on here are great and alway, like you, willing to help. Again thanks for your help and education.

there's a company out there that's working on making hardtop convertibles for our s197s. I'm at work so i don't have access to the information at the moment. I'll post it when i get back later today.
