I have a Redfire GT. The hood got keyed so I'm going with a blacked out hood similar to the Boss pattern. The body shop called and wants to know if I want gloss or semi-gloss black. Can I wax over either one the same as I do the red? I don't want to have to tape anything off.

Either is fine for waxing.

I think Ben is right, that it is ok to wax either, but the body shop schould definately know if it can be waxed. I would get their opinion too.

Yes, he's right, it will still have clear coat over it either way.

yup. as long as it's got clear on it you can wax it.
