Got the CAI/SCTII set up from Fred about 8 months ago, and have been merrily burning rubber with the 93 octane tune. Finally got ahold of some race gas (that I need for my SRT), so decided to give the 100 octane tune a try. (BTW-I didn't want an 87 or 89 tune, I asked for a 100 octane tune instead of those 2) All I can say is WOW!!! Sometimes on the 93 going into third I would get a chirp. With the 100, it's always at least a chirp, but most of the times it's more. Great job Fred!!!!

 

is it possible to get this tune for Diablo Predator & CAI combo?
any dyno gains?

 

I have never had my car on the dyno in any stage of it's life (stock, 93 octane, or 100 octance). I can tell you it definatly "feels" faster, and the tires melt easier, lol!

 

There's a gas station around here that has race fuel....I've been scared to put it in..I don't have a 100oct tune, would it blow up my car with a 93 tune ??

 

as long as its 100 unleaded it shouldnt but alot of 100 is leaded

 

Big black BOOM! Haha.. nah it wont blow it up (at least it shouldnt).. but it wont be much better performance without being tuned for it.. main thing about tuning it is the increase in timing.. which is where all the power comes from.

I really didn't know how much power pontetial there was in timing until I had my SRT-4, where the computer will actually "self tune", as in it will raise the timing until it sees knock, and then pull some. I don't know if our computers are the same way or not. It's the same reason people run water injection, you can just run more timing w/o detonation. Cheap, easy HP. Kinda.
