Default A friendly warning and a question

Well, here is what being a nice guy gets you...
My buddy got trashed last night and I volunteered to play DD, and the SOB yakked in my car. He got the window down, but he didn't quite get his head all the way out, so it went down inside the door and in the map pocket. Thankfully, none of it got on the upholstery. What I need to know is how to take the door panel off so that I can pressure wash it to try to get the smell out. I'm afraid that the new car smell will be gone forever, though.
I could kill him.
The moral of the story is when all else fails be an a$$hole and don't let drunk people in your car.
Please help.

oddly enough, near identical situation happened to me two years ago. Kid puked right in the "envelope" in the side of the door.

Scoop it out, use some of that heavy duty "orange" spray cleaner (name escapes me, I'll try and find it for ya via google or something) and you'll be ok. The smell didn't linger so we didn't need to take the door panel off.

I think The orange spray cleaner is called Kaboom and it works pretty well. Sorry about the yackfest in your car. Next time make him ride in the trunk and throw in a bucket.

Actually, I've decided that next time, I'll drag his *** behind the car....
Anyone know how to remove the door panel?

it easy, there are screws on the bottom and side of the door panel, behind a plastic plate that is behind the door latch, and there is another behind the armrest handle you shut the door with. you do not have to take the sub out of the door, it is part of the door panel. take the screws out then the panel lifts off the door, it kind of hangs on where the window comes out. unhook the wiring harnesses and latch lever cable and i think thats about it. oh yea, if he puked down where the window is you will have to unseal the plastic on the door to get in there, then use some silicone caulk to reseal it after it has been cleaned.

my car is in the shop so i am not 100% sure i didnt miss telling you about any screws, i have taken mine off and am going by memory.

You cant do much when its your wife. Mine spewed all over the windshield, then on my arm as I was shoving her out the door onto the grassy median.

Nasty!
I had mine off last week. It isn't too hard. You will need a small socket for the screws (6mm?) and a torx bit for the bigger screws behind the hand pull (numbers 4 & 9 on the photo). I actually wedged a screwdriver in the hole on the way out, then dug in my toolbox for the tool on reinstall (Torx #20? I think).

Awesome, thanks guys!

Gone2, it's funny you say that, when my fiancee and I first got together I introduced her to Jaeger , and she seemed okay with them until we were leaving the bar and she turned a little green. I was driving her home, and I look over and she's puking. I knew she was a keeper because she actually grabbed a cup and didn't get any in the car at all. I immediately pulled over to a 7-11 of course, but she was fine the next day.

She doesn't like Jaeger anymore.
