Found an 06 I am interested in it has a few more options than I wanted but it's in stock and badass manual! MSRP is approx 28,500, I am looking to get 3000 off sticker and use 5K out of pocket for cap cost reduction this will put me at the amount I want to finance. I think the X-plan price with my 5K down would also work, but anyone have an idea? Again I want to ultimately finance no more than 21,000/ Thanks

I have seen commercials for 5000 off 06's?? Anyone get that?!

Most people are getting invoice pricing BEFORE incentives, but some dealerships are not as willing to deal down on manual trannys.

There is a 1500 cashback deal running on 06's. They're also running a 0% APR up to 72 months. I think you have to pick one or the other though. Go to http://www.fordvehicles.com/index.asp and click on incentives, enter your zip and it'll confirm if these are both applicable to your area.

Yup both those of those incentives are available in my area. I guess the ideal situtation would be X-plan price minus the 1500 rebate, is that doable? I wouldnt even have to put as much out of pocket it would at least cover the tax!!! I am either going to try in the next day or 2 or the end of september but the timming this month is ideal, end of the month is during the first half of the work week, sales managers will be trying to get as many units out the door as possible. My strategy would be to go in there tell them I want to order an 07 (while pretendiing not to know they have an 06 on the lot exactly like the 07 order) and seem very firm on getting an 07, they will then call my attention to the identical 06 and try and get me to buy THAT one, I will then know that I have them where I want them and get the deal I want,,hopefully. But yeah X-plan price minus the 1,500 and I'd sign today!!!!

Yes, should be doable on an 06 that's still sitting on their lot. Instead of playing the game with going for an 07, I would just walk right in and lay it out for them. Tell them you want the 06 at invoice pricing (check kbb.com if you need to know what that is) and that you want the 1500 cash back discounted off of that (print out the info and take it with you, make sure you have the incentive number). Be firm and stand your ground, tell them you're not interested in long negotiations, it's a take-it-or-leave-it deal. Do your homework and take the documentation in with you and hopefully they will respect that. Tell them if they don't want your deal you'll go elsewhere and order an 07.

bought my 06 GT Manual Friday; paid sticker and got 0% 72 mos financing. I had no room to deal on the price b/c it took them 3 hours just to find it (apparently last silver manual GT on the east coast) and I was trading an 06 V6er in w/ big neg equity. Good luck though - you may have more to dicker w/ than I did!

I have seen 4,000 off MSRP on ALL 06 GT's at two different dealers, one west coast (SF Area) and one in St Louis.

I just got an 06 GT yesterday for 26.000 with 0% financing for 72 months. That's 2,300 off the sticker with 0%. All I know is the monthly payments are under 400 a month and that fit into my budget. And yes it's a 5 speed manual, is there any other way to go!

Wow, that's great that some of you were able to get 0/72. When I bought mine in July, I asked the dealer if I could have 0/36 and they rejected me. At least I got the car at invoice (26 something).
