Im desperately looking for an 06 Vista Blue, GT coupe w/ a manual transmission somewhere in the north east. I want to take advantage of the great financing offer but can find any blue ones out there. Im flexible as to prem/deluxe, packages etc....

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I can offer this tidbit of info for ya.

Back in late April/first week May. I was looking for an stick 06 vista blue an graphite. Production of 06 cars was just about wrapping up at that point.

I called 20-30 dealers before I found my car by luck as it wasent even listed on the ford system as it was in stock for only 3 days before I picked it up. After getting a dealer to run a stock check, turns out, I bought one of only like 2-3 vista blue on graphite stick GT's in a radius covering the entire state of NJ, LI, NYC, upstate NY, etc at that time.

Tough color to find. But they are out there. But you have to be willing to really call places in a few hour radius of your house so you hit alot of dealers. I drove 90 minutes for mine.

One dealer was able to find me just 1 VB GT m/t in a search of 172 dealerships (per the salesman). The problem is, if they do the swap with my current dealership, they want to charge sticker and wont touch anything close to x-plan or invoice price b/c they claim the swap will kill their margins.

Thanks for the input. I saw that one in Mass and its on the radar but im hoping for a coupe. The RI dealer said he could have the one Im looking for there in the morning so it has to be near-by! I dont mind paying a premium for them finding the car but paying sticker on an 06 at this stage in the game when I can get x-plan prices elsewhere (just not on the exact one I want), seems ridiculous. Am I being reasonable?

X-plan will save you around $1500 off sticker ... is having the exact car you want worth $1500?

When they swap a car out they usually lose their holdback.

With the good financing going on right now, I would pay a bit more if I were you. Even without an X plan, these are leftovers and you should be getting 2000-2500K off list at least plus the 0% financing to be even considering an 06 at this point regardless of where you get it.

Or why not try to find an 07 with an X plan.

I paid 1K under for my 06 back in late April. No x-plan, etc. One dealer had three black cars in stock at the time. All black on black GT coupes with stick. And one auto with red interior.

I wanted blue but this guy kept calling and his price was getting lower and lower. He finally was close to 1500 under and wanted to know what it would take to sell the car. I just didnt want a black on black car. Black on red or graphite maybe.

But this was when most dealers around here wanted 3-5K over. So I was happy with the colors and options I wanted at 1K under.

Thanks for the help. Looks like the one in Mass is sold. The one in SC is a bit far but Id actually consider flying down and driving back up to NY.

Any chance anyone knows of one closer than NC to NY before I do something crazy like take Friday off and fly down then drive 13 hours back? That might actually be fun. Any idea if that would be bad for a new car if I kept the speed in check (ha!)?

I Just purchased a Vista/Graphite with a manual, good luck the are hard to find. My dealer kept "finding" me the car per his system but when he called they were usually sold..I got real lucky still had the plastic on the seats and floor.
