How different can the '07 be from the '05 and/or '06?

from what i have read they fill it to much and the cap doesnt seal tight enough, take about a quarter inch out of it and you will be fine.

ORIGINAL: stangmann

05,06, and 07's all have this problem
So is it actually just too full, or is this another defect? Thanks...

Hope Prof. Wizard doesn't mind if I use his recommendation:
Use thread tape, like you use on plumbing, to seal the cap. I guess the top isn't fitting too tightly.
They all leak!

Yeah, word is all the 05/ 06/ 07's have this problem. After I read one of the threads about it I checked mine and sure enough there was some seepage. If you ignore it long enough, eventually it will drip down onto the inner fender and if anyone isn't familiar with brake fluid on paint, well it ain't pretty [&:] Brake fluid eats through paint and primer right down to bare metal. Most people just remove some of the fluid, they fill it up nearly to the rim at the factory which is way above the fill line! Be careful adding teflon tape or anything as you do not want to get any contaminates in the fluid!! Applying teflon tape is fine as long as you're careful to make sure it stays outside of the fill hole. But most people have reported that reducing the level is enough to stop the seepage.
