FORD RACING AXLE BACK MUFFLERS
I JUST HAD FORD RACING AXLE BACK MUFFLERS INSTALLED ON MY 2005 GT CONVERTIBLE. IT SEEMS THAT THE RIGHT SIDE HANGS SLIGHTLY LOWER AND OFF CENTER OF THE CUTOUT THAN THE LEFT AND BOTH SEEM TO HAVE SOME SPACE UNDER THE CUT OUTS OF THE BUMPER. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS AND CAN THESE BE ADJUSTED WITH HEAT AND BENDING OF THE HANGER?
Yup..get a good muffler shop to heat and 'massage' the hangers.
I had the same problem when I put on the Magnaflow axlebacks.
It took them about 5 minutes ! It was a freebie also !
I was impressed since I didnot have them do the install in the first place .
Their good P/R will bring me back when my p/u needs brakes .

No, no, no... you shouldn't need to heat the hangers, etc. etc. I had the same problem with my Flowmasters, and believe it or not, you can solve the problem by loosening the clamps near the H-pipe, and adjust from there. Trust me, it'll work!
With my corsas, all I did was put a box wrench on the hanger after I was done and pull the bottom of it toward the front of the car. This bent the hanger dowm and pulled the muffler up. Real easy to fine tune the height this way and now they're perfect.
