Default Removing Cats

Hi,

My friend has the same configuration that I have. I can't help but notice how great his car sounds without cats. He's got magnapacks and they don't drone at all.
Mine are really bad and I'm wondering if it doesn't have anything to do with the cats. Any ideas?

Anyway, will I have to re tune the car if I take them off?

- Painted stripes with painted mirrors and louvers
- Painted Gauge pod/ Boost Gauge/Air fuel/Oil pressure
- Torque H/P Conv.
- M-4209 Gear 4.30- Hood Pins
- Magnapack Exhaust
- Steeda Springs
- Carbon Fiber Dash kit
- 4FU218-020SQ Vortech 08 PSI
-Predator-Final lap tune

Patrick

You won't have to retune other than to turn off the rear O2 sensors. Otherwise you might get a MIL warning light. The car will run the same though with them off.

Yeah just be careful, because if you get an ******* cop, apparently it is a federal law that you have to have cats. Many many people have O/R setups though and dont have problems.

I know what you mean. The beauty is that I live in Quebec and the law is federal. If a cop sends me to an inspection, you can't fail it because of the cats. They are provincial and it becomes Environment Canada's problem.

for now...

I also know this setup is not really friendly to the environment. It's not my daily driver.

The sound was just incredible with the magnapacks, just beautiful…

Thanks

Patrick

Sorry, but I`ve never had a run in with a cop who`s said hey I need to look under your car to see if your running your cat on your exhaust. But yes it is a federal law so if you live where they do emisions testing and they do a visual on you they can tag your car right there and you walk home.

if you have your cats gutted, they will think you still have them . You will actually probably see a good increase in power from decatting because you are blown.
