Default mustang tuning 18X9 bullitt offset help.

the stock 17 has a offset of 45mm the stock 18 has a 50 offset. the crome deep dish has a 34mm. I will also go from a 235 tire to a 255. Will the rims and tires still be in the wheel wells? How much wider will they come out?Is the mustang tuning crome wheel a dcent wheel or should i go with the blue oval stock 50 offset 18.5 for twice the price. Thanks

I picked up a set of 18x10/18x9 Deep deish bullits from mustang tunning, they are a great wheel for the price.

I am running 255/45 and 285/40s

BFG KDWs - awesome tires, they rock in the dry and rain.
Do have a little noise, but barely noticable over the stock exhaust.

I am very pleased, ill try to get some pics up.

I would recomend mustang tunning highly so far....Just make sure you pick up the mustang center caps. The offset is just right. The tires are about even with the fenders but will still tuck fine.

Didn't get mine at Mustang Tuning, but it's the same wheel. 18x10 in back 18x9 in front. I'm running 265/45/18 and 285/45/18 Nittos.

Guys, I am also looking at MustangTuning for the 18x9 and 18x10 bullitts. I would also like to get either KDW's or Nittos to wrap around them, but it doesn't appear MustangTuning has them... I only see Sumitomo on their website... or do you have to request them specifically? I'd like to take advantage of buying wheels and tires at MustangTuning as they include mounting, balancing, etc... and free shipping. Makes a big difference I'd presume. Let me know your thoughts...

I'm in exactly the same situation. I looked into the Sumitomos and found more bad comments on them than good. Everyone seemed to agree that they don't last that long, so the $ you save will be a temporary gain.

I'm going to purchase just the wheels from MT, and I'm either buying the tires from TireRack.com or from a local dealer if they can get close enough to TR's price before the additional $ for mounting/balancing.

Ooops. Forgot to mention...I'm thinking BFG KDW2s, 255/35-18 front, 275/35-18 rear. BFG doesn't seem to make a 285...I'll check that when I order, and maybe go fatter in back if it's actually available.

Yeah, that's what I'm considering as well. I want to avoid the Sumitomo but I do want the Bullits and am very interested in KDW2's... are you sure they don't come in 285? That's the size I was looking for. Will 275 fit on an 18x9?

Default RE: mustang tuning 18X9 bullitt offset help.

I've rethought my sizes. The ones I stated in my first post were bogus.

285s are available. The question is height. Here's the table from the BFG site that tells you all you have to know:

http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs...-a-kdw/22.html

I want to try to keep my tires the same height as the ones I have now, which are 255/45-17. This tire has a diameter of 26". The trouble for me is, there isn't an obvious choice for a back tire that is about this height. I seem to have four choices:

275/40ZR18 = 26.7 (too tall)
285/40ZR18 = 27 (even taller)
265/40ZR18 = 26.3 (probably fine on height, but skinny)
295/35ZR18 = 26.1 (YIKES! This wide boy might be it!)

So I've been measuring and calculating, and I think the 295s are going to fit. They're pushing the rim size a bit, but BFG says they fit on 10" wheels. It sure would be nice to fit that much rubber on my back.

If you're shooting for a different tire height, all of this will be different for you. Just use the table. The '05 tires look taller than mine. If that's so, maybe the 285/40ZR18 at 27" will work for you.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I believe my stock 17" setup is 27.2" in height. Going with 285/40/18 at 27.0" should be ok, right? (I plan to slightly lower the back eventually anyway)

Also, are those sized for the KDW2 version or the older KDW?

Thanks for being patient with me.
