Default Folks with Roush Spoiler, In Here!

Just got my Roush spoiler in the mail today from Texas Hot Rods (Liz=awesome), and was wondering how easy it would be for a self install. Did most of you guys just slap them on yourselves, or did you take it to a body shop to have it done. I have a stock spoiler, so the center piece should be a snap, but the side pieces look like they require some drilling.

So if any of you guys have some tips & pointers, I would appreciate it.

Thanks again,
Justin.

I'll be doing the same mod myself in the next week, or so. And I totally agree with the "(Liz =awesome)" comment.

I had a Roush spoiler installed on my 05, the installers did a fine job but I'm going to do the mod this time and save some $$.

Just opened the box today... The templates look great and appear easy to position. The instructions are clear, so it should be "measure twice, drill once". Oh, yes... I'll take some before/after pics...

Took me about an hour and a half, basically because I was jackin' around doing it. But it is a piece of cake to install. Hardest part is getting all the tape off the trunk from the original spoiler. Well, that and getting enough hair on your sack to drill holes in your car.

Well, a visit to two body shops, and a phone call to three yieled no results--they won't even look at it. What's going on w/California? I may just have to do this myself, can anyone recommend some rust prohibitor, and what kind of drill bits to use? A recommended body shop in the South Bay, California would be good too.

I appreciate that help,
Justin.

peice of cake to install. make sure you have a good center punch and a sharp drill bit. longest part was removing old tape and cutting out the pattern. the visibility is just as good as stock if not better. click on camera under avitar for more spoiler veiws

I don't think it would be that hard..?? getting one soon.. but what I am p***** about .. is the Roush hood scoop .. just put one on mine and you can see some daylight if you look at eye level at the front.. [:@]called Roush.. that is normal.. yeah right.. like if you where going to buy a stage 3 Roush car and see daylight thur the hood scoop at that kind of money..!!!!

I don't think so Tim.. or is everyone's Roush hood scoop fit/look like that..????

quote from Roush.. yeah we looked at your pics and all cars are kind of different.. give me a break.. I even know what is wrong with it...!!! it has just a little to much paint at the very front tips...!!! I am going to file it down ( after they send me another install kit ) then I know it will fit flush WITHOUT daylight.. like it should .. right now.. looks like S*** for something that cost that much ( it was Roush painted, so it cost more )

Rex <--not a happy camper right now as I just got off the phone with them.. (Roush that is )

If you have the money take it to the pro's but if you know how to do it and you want to save money then just do it yourself. I don't think it is that hard to believe.
