My question is should I get vinyl stripes on my mustang or should I get them painted on? I havent ordered my mustang yet but I have talked to a couple of dealerships about this and they said that they can do both in their shops. The sales guy said it would be around 300 for vinyls and around 600 for painted stripes. I was wondering if anyone had the actual prices for both.
Also I am going to be ordering a lot of aftermarket parts such as a new front fascia, hood, duckwing spoiler, and maybe a rear fascia. Should I wait untill I put those parts on to get stripes or have Ford put them on when I get the car? If anyone has put on after market parts and then had stipes put on their car let me know what the price was.

Sorry about all the questions but I know that there are a lot of mustang lovers who can help me out.

You may pay more, but I say get them painted.

Just remember painted stripes are like tattoos ... they are there for life unless you want to pay lots of money of have them removed ...

If you are really sure you want them, get them painted on, that seems like a good deal ,you may end up paying more later to paint them on.

Just make sure that you get a color combo that you really like, paints for life. It costs a pretty penny to get the painted stripes taken off.

$600 sounds too cheap for painted. I would ask exactly how they are painting them? The bad thing about vinyl is the paint won't fade underneath, so after a few years you'll have ghost stripes wether you wanted them or not, reversed ghost stripes actually.

A dealer painting them for $600 doesn't sound possible. Unless they hire a low quality contractor to do it for them.

The can also be touched up if ever needed, vinyl can't. They also won't bubble or peel after time if they're painted and cleared over.
