Default Getting ready to do the drop...suggestions??

Well, after carefully contemplating it, I am getting ready to finally change out the springs on my 06 GT. Any suggestions on the best package to go with? I took it to the local suspension shop and they are telling me Eibach springs with the camber adjusting plates. Sounds good but I am also looking at $860.00 out the door (installed). Anyone else had any luck with a less expensive kit? This price includes the re-alignment, but I don't know if Eibachs are the way to go. Let me know what you all think. Thanks.

The shop that did mine put in Suspention Technics 1.5" springs. I am waiting for Maximum Motorsports to come out with their Bilstiens and strut plates. The shop said Eibachs sometimes would sit uneven.

I've heard that too. That is why I am looking into alternatives. Do you like the outcome of your springs, and how much did they charge?

My car sits perfect, and rides as well as a lowered car on 20" wheels can on stock struts and shocks. I do want the Bilstiens though.

Do it yourself if at all possible it is a very easy job. The only thing that you would have to pay somebody to do is a custom alignment which cost me about $75. I think the springs are about $250.

I think all ford sit uneven from the factory. Usually the drivers side is slightly lower, but I haven't checked my mustang yet.

I love how a shop can say one thing bad about another product and people take their word. There was nobody even producing a set of springs when Eibach came out with there product for the 05. I have had Eibachs on for about 1 year and 5 months with the car still sitting completely even. I go onto a lot of forums I have not heard of any major issues. Sorry for complaining there is a shop near me that if they do not sell that product they talk all kinds of trash about that product such as the BMR stuff I have on my vehicle. Bottom line is see how many people are having problems with there Eibach's before passing judgment on them.

I am just passing on info from a aftermarket shop that does a lot of mustangs for dealerships. My car came customized from the dealership, and I asked them what was on the car and why they put on the parts they did. They did say that some Eibachs sometimes will come out even, just inconsistantly. I have lowered 3 cars with Eibachs myself and I agree with them. I think the most consistant springs are stock from my experiance from my heavy line colision experience ( I've done it professionally for several years ).
I have found that other brands are inconsistant also, and have never used Suspention Technics myself. I have seen around 10 Mustang GTs with these spring from this shop, and all sit even.

Sorry was not trying to pass judgment on your opinion I have just seen so many shops that talk so much crap about there competitors it just makes me a little mad.I had a dyno shop tell me when they found out I was going to a custom tuner for my SCT that all the tuners got the same info from SCT that everybody's tune was the same they said that they would sell the SCT2 to me for $325. I would rather pay the extra $75 to a shop that is not going to bulls**T me.
But you do have to remember Eibach probably produces twice as many springs as their closest competition so you will probably see a lot more failures in their products because of the sheer number they produce.
