ORIGINAL: MR.Mustang

Just read an article in MM & FF about getting into the 12 second range with two 05 GTs one Auto and one Stick with basic bolt ons.

Auto had a 4.10 gear, torque converter and a CAI and was pulling off high 12's. The stick was also near high 12's with minor bolt ons. Both cars had slicks too. I don't know but I have seen similar bolt ons posted here and have never seen anyone getting 12's with out a power adder. Has anyone else seen this article? Is anyone here running 12's with a few bolt ons and some weight reduction? If this article 100% legit then I guess I am feeling better about taking on some of the competition.

...but seriously, I went 12.973 @ 110.77 with (all-inclusive list):
4.10
intake/dyno tune
pulleys

That was on a 2.01 60' and IIRC 8.4 @ ~84.0 1/8.

It's funny how I've never trapped that high since, despite significant new modding since doing it in 2005.

It's all about getting the right combo.
mine is n/a with the stock longblock and all bolt-on except the torque converter nothing is extremely hard but it takes a while to dial them in but once you do it is very impressive how quick they go with such a little engine. i've posted my mods numerous times so i won't here but i've also tried multiple gear ratios, tires sizes, and launching techniques etc. to get where i'm at now.
11.89 -114.77mph

My best is a low 13 stock, so i cant see why some bolt ons would not put you in the 12's.

Im getting exhuast for xmas, but i would say w/ the intake/tune/dr tires might getting me a 12.9 on a low temp, low hum day.

I have gotten 6 passes now in the high 12s with my best in my sig. All these runs were done on the stock pirellis, stock 3.55s, 17" wheels, only mods are CAI & 93 tune, no weight reduction, 1/4 tank of gas or less, 60-70 degree weather (orlando, FL), I weigh 175. It's all about getting that good 60'.

You can add me to the 12 second bolt-on club. It's amazing how many different mod combinations can be used to get people into the 12s. I'm still running the stock rear gears!

I got had by this thread too and thought it was new, I read the whole thing. It is good info though, since we have all these 12 sec bolt on stangs here anyone give me an idea what this combo would run with ET and MPH.

07 Manual with 3.55 gears

C&L Street CAI
93 race tune
UDP
CMCV delete plates
Long Tubes
High flow catted X-pipe
High flow mufflers
Aluminum D/S
MGW Shifter
Sway bar delete rad support
Drag Radials

Not power shifting just shifting fast.

My thought is 12.6 @ 108mph

13.0 @ 107 with 1/2 tank of gas, Shaker 1000, spare, basically full weight and on street tires.

Tire PSI 40 in front, 25 in rear.
93 Oct Brenspeed tune with C&L Street Intake
Steeda Chromoly LCAs
Steeda UDPs

I also had a Steeda Tri-ax but that's not going to make a difference.

12s is relatively easy in the right condition and minor upgrades.

PS I only managed a 2.0 60'...
