Default Paint repair

You know how a tree growing from a sidewalk will lift the concrete slabs? Well, I parrallel parked near a tree. When my gf opened her door, it jammed onto a lifted panel of cement sidewalk. Now the bottom of the door has deep gouges. I'm afraid the damaged area will rust.

What should I do? Must I repaint the whole door or can I just have the bottom edge repaired? Thanks.

OK. I'll take pics next sunny day. The scuffs are just on the bottom edge of the door. When she opened it, the door wedged up on the sidewalk. It feels like someone rubbed 50 grit sand paper on the edge on the metal crease at the bottom.
