Default HELP!!! Ford Motor Sport Lowering Springs

My lowering springs just came in and hubby is getting ready to install. We are doing a 1 1/2 inch drop all the way around. Can anyone tell me how they had the front end aligned after installing the springs? Will cam plates be required to get an accurate alignment or will it align ok without cam plates? If cam plates are needed, can anyone recommend the plates to purchase?

I have heard that an alignment is necessary, but have also heard that you don't need cam plates. call Dallas Mustang at 800-Mustang. I was talking with them about lowering my car and asked them the same questions. They had a different solution.

Plates are NOT required, and are nothing more than a good way to waste your hard-earned $$$.

You need a set of "eccentric camber bolts". Chances are that the shop you bring the car to for alignment will have them. If not, check the site sponsors. Several of them will have the bolts. Not only is this method very inexpensive, but it is also the method that Ford recommends.

Go to this page: https://mustangforums.com/m_1019059/tm.htm

..these are all excerpts from the Ford service manual. One of them (I don't remember which) describes the use of eccentric bolts to set camber, if the car is lowered.

The alignment shop had the camber bolts in stock, 15 bucks i think call wherever you are going to have the alignment and ask them if they have 'em
